Background
Thromboxane A2 are prostanoids that cause contraction of vascular smooth muscle and aggregation of platelets. Two splice variants of the receptor for thromboxane A2 have been identified, that differ in their C-termini. This membrane preparation is derived from a cell line that expresses the beta splice variant found expressed primarily in endothelium.
